CNC boring and milling machine is the same as machining center. They are mainly used for drilling large and deep holes. CNC milling machine is generally used for milling simple surfaces or shallow holes. The body structure of the NC boring and milling machine is horizontal, and the machine bed is large, while the machine bed structure of the NC milling machine is vertical, generally small. CNC boring and milling machine has a tool library, which can automatically change tools. NC milling machine has no tool library, and tool change is realized manually during processing.

At present, CNC boring and milling machines and machining centers are basically universal, but there are almost no restrictions on boring machines for machining parts. In terms of programming, the boring machine usually uses the feed per revolution when drilling, while the machining center usually uses the feed per minute. Because the centripetal force of the boring and milling machine is relatively good, and the tappet can extend for a long time, it is generally used to process box parts with high hole accuracy and large volume. The tappet of the boring and milling machine is relatively stable, and the machining surface accuracy is relatively high, which can basically achieve a good machining center.
